Julie Stanton, a 20 year United States Navy Veteran, has always had an interest in art but did not pursue it as a career until 2015, when a few other artist friends encouraged her to participate in local art shows and exhibitions.
“Beyond art classes in high school, I have no formal training in art,” Stanton admits. However, her minimal training has not impeded her success as an artist. She has won several awards and garnered critical acclaim from peers.

Theologian and philosopher, Rudolph Otto, convinced me that a spiritual realm exists by his explanation of the “numinous.” The spiritual realm must be real because “we are able to sense it in a way that is like no other perception or experience.”
With no formal training, Julie has mastered the ability of capturing emotion. Viewers are transformed into intimate moments in each of her drawings and paintings and often feel as though they too are part of the scene.
